Mynx Saturday Night
First time going to this Mynx location, I've been to the Hartford location once before. I enjoyed this location much more than the Hartford one.
The club has a large sign that is easy to locate from the road and a fairly sizeable parking lot that is easy to get into and out of. There are two split entrances, one for the main Mynx club and one for Mynx After Dark. My friend and I only went into the main Mynx club, after we were told that After Dark was a separate entrance fee unless we bought a bottle of champagne ($150).
The main club area is very open, with a large bar and two stages. The main stage is fairly large, with room for multiple girls, and plenty of seating. The smaller stage (the octagon) has fewer seats and room for one or two girls.
My friend and I sat at the bar for about 20 minutes or so, ordered and drank our drinks without being approached by anyone except for the bartender, Tina, who was very welcoming and energetic. There was another bartender whose name I didn't get who also seemed nice as well but was taking care of the other side of the bar. I ordered two cocktails, a long island iced tea which was $8 and a lemon drop over ice which was $13.
There was an area between the stages that had small tables and plush chairs, and my friend and I sat down at those to watch the octagon stage, which was the only one with a dancer on it when we got there.
We spent a while there, and my friend got up to go to the bathroom, and I was immediately approached by a Latina woman who didn't give me her name, and after asking two cursory questions asked if I wanted to go in the VIP area with her. I declined, and she walked away without a word (which was fine by me!) After my friend came back, we started to mill around and make small talk with some of the other dancers. There was a big variety in the dancers there, I saw pretty much evety race, hair color, and body type accounted for.
I spent most of my time talking to a redhead named Honey who told me it was her first night working there. I ended up getting two private dances with her ($60+tip) which were great and she didn't pressure me for anything more and continued to hang out with me until she went over to the After Dark side of the club.
After she went over to that side, there weren't really any other girls who piqued my interest so my friend and I closed out and left.
Overall, it was a fairly positive experience. Dances and drinks are reasonably priced, everyone seemed very friendly and welcoming, and the vibes were all-around very solid. I will definitely be going back again sometime to check it out further and talk to some more dancers.
