I had a free afternoon so...

I had a free afternoon so I went on a tour of my favorite Detroit clubs. Didn't spend long in each, but got at least one dance and checked out the situation. I started at 12 at the Landing Strip, moved to the Playhouse just after 1, then made it to the Flight Club by 2:30. In general, things were slow. Here's a review of each club.

Play House - Pulled up just after 1. Guy took my car and I'll owe him $3 when I come out. No cover charge. Ran into an old acquaintance (Heather) as she was coming off the stage and sat and had a drink with her. My Stella from the tap was $5 - her mixed drink was $10. Talked for awhile. Since I was the only customer in the bar, and I was talking to Heather, the stage was empty. There were only 3 dancers on the roll. I understand the PH has been slow. I don't think they advertise. Had a couple of dances - nothing extraordinary - but OK. I would have to hear things are getting better in the afternoon before I return.
