First time at Club Rouge. Got there at 3 p.m. Friday, June 11. Club was supposed to be open at 3 p.m. on weekdays (not 11 a.m.), but door was locked. Walked around the block and tried the door again. A manager opened it and let me in. The place was d-e-a-d. Sat at the bar and nursed a mediocre microbrew for 10-15 minutes before a dancer finally started in the adjacent room. "Asia," I think her name was and a nice person she was, too. She said she was just learning and was very honest about trying some things on the pole that didn't go as planned. No injuries and no embarrassment. She kept practicing during some extra songs between songs. I wish her the best. The other two girls on shift were in the 6-7 range. Had a private dance or two from each and got fair value in the curtained area adjacent to the stage. One girl was a little rough with her grind for my middle-aged tastes, but overall probably a better value than most other Portland clubs, but not significantly. I did go for a $150/half hour dance with the other better-looking dancer, which was located in a separate room upstairs above the bar. Regrettably, there are two ceiling-mounted cameras. When I realized that, it pretty much ended my enjoyment of the session. Who wants observers? The time spent was pretty much a 1/2-hour extension of the lap dance I'd had downstairs. The girl said that "other girls charge $500/hour for this." Must be a lot of rich fools in Portland.
