My girlfriend (who's a dancer in D.C.) and I went to Lace about a week and a half ago. We'd never been to a club in NYC before, and it was kind of a funny experience. First, there was a coupon for money off the cover, but they had a really hard time figuring out what to do with it when we came in - almost like they'd never seen their own coupon before. Then, a maitre'd seated us and we weren't supposed to move without asking. Then, drinks - I'm talking well drinks here, nothing fancy - were $14 a pop. Lastly, it seems that the dancers pretty much work for lap dances, and don't even pick up ones if you leave them on the tip rail (we did this and the dancers just walked away from them).

The lap dances looked good - I saw lots of guys looking like they were getting good milage. My girlfriend got one, and she got lots of boobs in the face and whatnot. However, I didn't get one so I can't say for sure.

Pretty much all the girls were Eastern European. Most were sexy and friendly but a few definitely were neither.
