in my opinion, this place sucks now. i was a semi-regular here a while ago, but rarely have the desire to come to this club anymore. i'll only check it out if i have a free admission pass (periodically in the village voice), as the $20+ cover (i think it goes up as the night progresses) is so not worth it. first off, the drinks are waaay overpriced. $15 for a relative bottom shelf vodka tonic. which adds up pretty quick if you're sucking down drinks in sheer boredom. the place seems pretty dead most of the time, even on traditionally busy thursday nights. maybe it's just me, but i used to think that the girls here were much more attractive. now it seems to be the same tired group of dancers who are bored with their jobs, make no effort to be enthusiastic or friendly with customers, and just hang out with each other at the bar. i'd say new blood is sorely needed. i agree with the recent posting regarding the managers at this club. way too many of them (? maybe 1 for every 2 dancers), and they're constantly pulling girls away to the restaurant or whereever for their "clients". way to alienate your average customer - totally lame. if i were new to this club, i'd probably be pretty pissed, but i'm jaded to this nonsense by now. in the rare event i decide to try a lapdance (as mentioned, i don't find any of the current dancers to be attractive at all), i'm quickly disappointed. low energy, minimal contact, hands to your sides type of stuff. multiple bouncers/managers are within spitting distance to make sure you behave. have tried private rooms in past (which i'll admit were pretty good), but absolutely cannot justify the cost anymore, so i can't comment on how these are nowadays. anyways, i'd avoid this place if possible. i've rarely left a strip club without getting at least a lapdance, and it's becoming the norm here for me. i'll stick to g2k in queens (which i'm currently taking a break from :)) or private lap dance parties.
