I have been going to the Cadillac Lounge for many years, and I still believe that it is one of the best clubs around town. Most people make the comment that everything has changed in this club since the laws changed in late October, 2009. This may have been true in the beginning, for the first few weeks after the change, as it appears that the club over-reacted. However, now, in the spring of 2010, I believe that things are loosening up a bit. This is definitely a good thing for all of us. There has certainly been a lot of turnover at this club over the past year, as there has been at all of the clubs, but I do not really believe that the change in the laws was the reason for it. The bottom line is that the economy in Rhode Island sucks right now, and every dancer knows it. They bounce from club to club, in the hope that they will catch a good money cycle at the next club. Maybe this does work for some of them, but many of them, after a few weeks, just end up back at the club where they started in the first place. The grass is always greener across the street. In addition, I had heard that most of the old dancers had been fired for doing extras, and that the new hires were working there because the club was more sterile now. Personally, I do not believe this, either. I think that Management had a list of girls that they could not wait to get rid of, and the law change gave them a perfect opportunity to clean house. As with any business, I am sure that the Club Owner wanted to bring in new energy and new blood, and I cannot really blame them. The only drawback to having a club full of new girls, in my opinion, is that now you have to start from scratch again in getting to know them. Once these new girls trust you, you can definitely have a very pleasant evening at Cadillac. I plan to continue to go there on a frequent basis. I highly recommend this club to everyone.
