I dance at one of the other clubs in the city and I went into Flashdancers as a patron with one of my regular customers after we'd had dinner one night. The club was kinda cheesy and old school, they still do line ups of the girls which I think is silly as it pulls the dancers away from whatever they're doing at the time. They also don't have a locker room for the girls so when I went to use the ladies room it was packed with dancers getting their hair and makeup done and all their bags were just sitting out in the open. They were a lot of customers there but everyone was just sitting around drinking beer and watching. There were also a lot of girls working but NO ONE wanted to approach "the couple". After making eye contact with a few girls we liked and not being able to get anyone to come over we tipped a few girls $10 and $20 dollars on stage and asked them to come see us when we were done and STILL we couldn't get them to come over. Finally we vowed to spend big on the first girl ballsy enough to approach us. Eventually we had a cute, Petite blonde named Anastasia come over and we had a few enjoyable minutes of conversation before moving to the lap dance area. The dances were good, sensual and medium contact and not too grindy. We had a good time and made sure to tip her an extra $20 on stage before we left. Overall we probably spent 1.5-2 hours in the club. Drink were reasonably priced and the table service was good. Atmosphere was cheesy and there were a lot of foreign girls. I like a more luxurious feel and I hate the cattle-y feeling to the way the club treated the girls. With the numerous selection of better clubs in NYC, I would choose a different club over FD, but due to the convienent location i'm sure someone will convince me to go back at some point.
