Having heard of the Mons all my life and based on the high rating by TUSCL, we visited at what should have been prime time - late on a Friday evening. What a disappointment! We have never been so bored in a club before. The dancers themselves appeared bored and their performances were extremely lack luster. Though we sat at the tip rail with a wad of bills, they could not be bothered to even come pick up what was laid prominently within reach. We are a well groomed, professional couple so I find it hard to believe it was our demeanor. We did not see anyone else being treated any better. The DJ was having to coax dancers to take the stage which they did only reluctantly. The dollars they did collect were immediately fed into the juke box for the next song. A group generally gathered around the juke box and we overheard them complaining about their jobs, the patrons and there being "no money out there". We finally left without the desired sexual rush and had to admit to our cab driver that she had, in fact, been right and we should have gone elsewhere.
