Lap dances are now $10 before...

Lap dances are now $10 before 7pm at Onyx during the weekdays. I was in town and Onyx has $6 lunches, so I decided to see what the strip club lunch is all about. Their food is very good and the kitchen is open late at night. There were about 5 girls on the scene, and since it was Tuesday, beers and wells were $2. I ended up coming back for the $2 Tuesdays thing they do at midnight (30 or 45 second dances for $2, its like musical chairs with strippers) to see if they had gotten more girls since the last time i was at Onyx on a Tuesday night (last May, and it was pretty much empty with customers) and was pleasantly surprised at the quantity if not the quality. There were customers there this time too. Some of the girls hate $2 dances because they don't understand the sampling/advertising benefit of it, and the fact that its really not that much less money for the hour if you stay busy. New black strip clubs keep opening up in Houston (Entyce, Magic City, Players Club, Dreams), which may explain why the quality of dancer wasn't THAT much better at night than it was at day. They're going to have to figure out how to recruit and keep the best girls. Most of the girls I saw were either old timers who know me by name from 2005 or new from out of town. And the old timers all work at other spots too. It didn't used to be like that and its hard to find your ATF when they move around like that.
