I had planned on going to PP in the afternoon, but got into Columbia several hours late, and, wanting to avoid the night time mania at PP, I decided to go to HB instead. Arrived around 8:30 and there were about a dozen dancers and an equal number of customers, but that picked up quickly. For about an hour I watched a steady stream of dancers in street clothes walking in. And the customers followed; it became more crowded than I have ever seen it, but, then again, my last visits have all been on Sunday evenings.

The first girl to approach me was a cute girl-next-door type, but after I bought her a drink I realized that she was as dumb as a brick and I just couldn't connect with her on any level. Her density also prohibited her from getting the clue that I wasn't going to buy a dance, even after I told her "not tonight" three times. My bad for buying her a drink after only a couple minutes of conversation.

Finally free of her, I eventually sat for awhile with a very flirty, hands on brunette. Off to the back when the DJ announced a two-for-one, and stayed for four songs. She gave me the last two at the 2-fer rate as well. Another cute brunette caught my eye later and I did three dances with her. I also got a two-for-one with a nice looking Oriental (Thai?) girl. There was the same great two-way contact that I've come to expect at HB and PP with all the dancers. No change there. No extras requested; none offered. Most of the girls were 7s and 8s. There was one very stout 5 who tried to latch onto me and became a little miffed when I declined to buy her a drink because she "wanted to get her drink on". Later I saw a few incredibly cute young spinners (9s) that I would have loved to sample, but they were tied up with other customers and after a long day of traveling I was wiped out, didn't want to wait around, and decided to call it an evening around 1130.
