Despite occasional visits to Lansing, this was my first-ever visit to Omar's. I was pleasantly surprised. There was a friendly, fun atmosphere in the main stage area. And the upstairs private dance area has a very upscale feel to it. There was no extreme pressure to vacate the couches after a couple of dances. You could sit & talk, enjoying the dancer's company, then get another dance at your leisure. None of the assembly line atmosphere that so many clubs create. A fairly aggressive black dancer named Dream greeted me right after I arrived and soon took me upstairs. After a break, I noticed Mary Jane, a petite blonde/brown haired girl with a natural body & great personality. The rest of the evening was delightful. Omar's could improve by adding some VIP rooms and occasional dance specials, but otherwise they appear to have it figured out. I would definitely go back.
