Barely Legal is one of four...
Barely Legal is one of four of the “Hustler Clubs†on Bourbon Street. The inside features a large stage with two poles in the center of the main room. A smaller stage with a pole is in the back of the room. There are two bars, one in the front and one in the back. There is a third stage up on the second floor which you have to pay an additional fee and take an elevator to get to. Cover was $25 due to Mardi Gras crowds being in town. The streets were packed but the club was never full the entire night. This was too high considering other clubs were either $5 to get in or free. Drinks started at $7.
Among the four Hustler clubs on Bourbon, this particular club is the niche for girls that are supposed to look barely legal---small breasts, slender, 18-20. In reality, there were quite a few that were pushing 30 or older and some with big boobs. However, all of the girls did appear to be natural in the mammaries. All the girls were white with the exception of a token black girl and a token Asian girl. Dancer quality was overall better than average with a few gals that could really work the pole tricks. There were a couple waitresses that looked better than most of the dancers. The waitresses ware short plaid skirts with not much underneath. What struck me at Barely Legal was that all the dancers seemed to be just going through the motions, just another night earning a paycheck. Not a whole lot of animated performance. Tipping at the stage got boring after a while—every dancer would give every customer a Stevie every time.
Management here was a joke. The guys working the floor looked like prepubescent boys. The manager looked to be a strung-out ex-stripper. Then the floor manager, Logan, was strutting around squeaking orders at dancers all night. I think he is still waiting for his balls to drop. If a fight should break out, this place would be gravy.
