This is more a bar than...
This is more a bar than a strip club. No cover, no DJ, pool table, decent alcohol prices and no pressure for lap dances. The crowd is a mix of men, women, bikers, frat boys, home boys and locals. It’s in an industrial neighborhood that is evolving into loft apartments, art galleries, eclectic shopping, and bars and restaurants with lots of live music. The parking lot is secure and bouncers monitor the inside and outside of the club. A half wall separates the bar area from the stage area. The stage area includes Pervert Row (Stools made from old whiskey barrels) and an assortment of tables. The stage is L shaped and is parallel to the bar on the opposite wall. The girls range from too skinny to way to fat. 5, 6 and some 7’s. The girls and staff are always friendly. There is no private area for lap dances and due to Rochester’s/Monroe County/NYS laws there usually not worth the money. Dancers at this club are their own DJ’s and they bus tables when they’re done dancing. I usually visit the BOD a couple of times a year.
I found the first time I went to the club quite comical. You would hear a dancer backstage over the speaker system going through the first 10 or 20 seconds of each song on a CD until they found the song they wanted to dance to. They would dance to that song and then go through the same process again for all three songs. When they were done dancing they would bus tables. About a year later I went in and noticed they now have a jukebox onstage that the feed dollars into before they dance.
The BOD is not the greatest strip club in the world but it’s great if you just want to hang out with the guys and have a few beers.
