I went to Kuma's on a Friday night thinking that it would be the best of the best that they have to offer. What I didn't think about was the fact that it was also a near-blizzard outside. I don't know whether their dancers were calling in and they had to get replacements, or if it was because neither of the colleges were in session, but the pickings were pretty slim. It was also my first time there, but given some of the reviews, I was expecting a little more.

I've been to several clubs where the cover was $10 with a mandatory $10 drink as well. Not so here. The cover was half of what I expected: $10 got you your drink. I got my change, my singles, and had a seat at the stage... or what you could call a stage.

There were technically two stages, but one looked like it hadn't been used in several years. Uncomfortable chairs surrounded the stages, and there were three men sitting, myself included. There was also a handful of men standing around, as far from the stage as possible. I don't want to generalize, but I felt like these guys were cheapskates, especially since there were so few of us there. At least give the dancers a little bit for their troubles if you're standing ten feet away.
