My friend and I were checking the Washington park strip club scene. We decided to go to Hollywood after going to a few others. I had not been there in over a year. The admission was free but the beer was $7.00 for a Bud and no draft. The girls were above the average Washington park stripper. It seemed a lot of them were new and mostly, the country girl variety just trying out the scene. My friend went to the ATM to get some extra cash which cost him $10.00 to use. He went to a few stages and bought some drinks for a couple of girls. A dancer asked me if I wanted a private and told me it was $25.00. I declined, but was glad I did after further discussion. She told me that if you are in a middle of a private and it is her turn to dance on stage they have to leave and get on stage or they will be fined. Another thing I noticed is you better keep your beer in hand, because if you go to a stage. The bar will throw it out and you have to order another. We were there a couple of hours and the night crew starting coming in and it seemed the place tensed up when the manager or owner walked in. He started walking around complaining. My friend was at a stage and a waitress walked over to him and said that if he did not have a drink in his hand he would have to leave. He told them it was with me. I said lets leave after we finish our beers. I went to relieve some of the beer out of my system and when I came back he said the manager had told him the same thing and we left. I just found it amazing that after buying numerous beers for us and drinks for the girls that my friend was treated this way. Were both in our 50's and not causing any problems. My friend is black is the only reason I can think of. Oh, well, we just went to another club and spent our cash there.
