I've been to Fuego a few...

I've been to Fuego a few times, and its always a mixed experience. Do not go if you are into lapdances. Go if you like stage tipping. Its both a black and latino strip club, which is cool (or at least unique), but they need to figure the shifts out better. This trip was on a Friday night and I got there about 1:30AM. I stayed for 30 minutes and left without getting a dance. I, personally, came to see black women, and there were only 4 on the floor, that late in the night. There were about 30 latinas in the place. Now I've been to Fuego before and stayed until 5am, and as the night goes on, the racial mix of dancer and customer changes dramatically from Latino to mixed to Black. They were open until 6am. I thought about coming back later (they pride themselves on being the "afterparty" spot for the black crowd on weekends -and that means after 3am when the clubs close. a lot of girls on the "black" shift dont even arrive until 2 or 3.) but ended up at Sinsaysionals and stayed there for a few reasons (more dancers, better contact, lower prices).

This was my third trip to Fuego but the first in about 6 months. Fuego IS a suitable afterparty spot and if you are going with a group or your girl(s), it should be cool. They have Sky-high poles on two stages and the stage shows are athletic and interesting.

But I wanted a lapdance and I think I've only had one good one at Fuego. Another disclaimer - on Friday and Saturday night "afterparties" - it is competitive to get a dancer's attention. You basically have to go to them, and get to them before anyone else. A minority of girls will ask you if you want a dance, but usually those are the nicer ones or the ugly ones (not always the same thing, luckily).

There is a black girl there named after a brand of bottled water. She is gorgeous, light skinned and has a soft ass. But she gives the laziest lap dances in history and they dont get better in VIP. Learn from the mistakes of others. I'm not saying not to get a dance from her. Just don't expect much grind. Bored rocking is her specialty. She really is cute enough to be able to get away with it, but I had to tell her no thank you tonight. She looked surprised and then less than 15 seconds later the guys next to me had grabbed her and put her on the birthday boy. I watched to see if anything had changed and it hadn't. Her lack of effort isnt typical of all the girls there, but the way the club is set up, good lapdances aren't happening on the main floor (where its $10). You'll have to go to the side couches ($15) or VIP ($20). Avoid VIP. You have to pay for a wristband to get in there (on top of the $20 cover charge to get in the building), and if your dancer hadn't been in there that night you'll be covering hers too. AND THEN you don't get any decent mileage because the guard at the entrance to VIP continually monitors the action and opens the curtain to see what is going on.
