I really like Femme Nu. It's true that the name is bad French (correct version: Femme Nue), but understandable - in Hawaiian every letter is pronounced, so people here would call it "Femme Newee" if the sign were correct. Anyway, very busy on Jan 17 2010 when I visited. (According to the girls, weekdays do tend to be way less busy.) Lots of pretty, friendly local women. While sitting at the bar I accidently dropped a dollar on the floor and one of the strippers kept waving at me till I noticed the dropped buck. "Wow," I said to the guy next to me, "I just *got* a dollar from a stripper!" (She got it back, and many more...)
Despite the crowd, it was easy getting dances. It's true that there is no contact on the floor, but I understand...legal enforcement of the 'no contact' rule is hit and miss in Hawaii but these clubs could get in a world of hurt if they get busted.
I loved the fact that the gorgeous, slender gal who had flagged my fallen dollar had started at Femme Nu to pay her way through college. She complimented my dollar-folding technique. "Years of practice," I said.
