The inside of this club has...

The inside of this club has changed little since it was called "Dangerous Curves" a number of years ago. The club is very small with a "U" shaped stage in the center, chairs around the stage, and chairs around the perimeter of the room. The edge of the stage is raised above the dancing level placing it about neck-high, allowing the dancers a very convenient place to sit and placing your face just inches from your reason for visiting the club. There are several small rooms for private dances. All are closed to at least some degree either by a curtain, or in the case of the larger, more expensive room, a real door. This room is extremely private, and if I recall correctly dances here are about $120 for either 15 minutes or half an hour - but worth it in my limited experience. I've been there mostly during the day and early evening and there are often more dancers than patrons in the club (which is fine with me!). I think that nights and weekends are probably considerably more crowded. Like all NY nude clube it's a "juice bar" but you can buy unlimited in-snd-out admission (extra charge) and have a drink at the bar next door if you want alcohol. I believe that a sign in the club says that you have to buy one drink (juice or water) per hour but I've never been hassled about it. Juice/water is the typical $4 juice bar price.

This place is all about lap dances and they are very high mileage lap dances indeed - on par with Florida clubs like Ybor strip in my experience. In general the dancers are in the 6 - 9 range with an occasional 3 or 4 thrown in for reasons unknown. Ages seem to range from just over 18 to an occasional 30-something lady (also OK with me), but most seem to be in the early 20s range. I have never been to the club when I didn't see at least one or two dancers that I thought were really hot looking. On a really good day every one of them is hot and you feel like a kid in a candy store not knowing which piece to choose. The girls have learned how to assist you in the decision making process however. Dance sets consist of 2 or 3 songs and the clothes often come off during the first song. The dancer then proceeds to make her way around the stage soliciting dollar tips by sitting right in front of your face with her legs spread. As in most clubs these days, shaved seems to be the general rule. After you give the lovely lady a dollar or two, she will generally slip off the edge of the stage, straddle your legs and place her crotch directly in your lap. As in other clubs, the degree of touching allowed at this point varies according to the limits of the individual dancer, but generally speaking, LOTS of touching is allowed, and is actually encouraged by many of the girls. I call these "preview laps" and after partaking of a couple from each of the dancers, you will have a VERY good idea of what to expect during a private dance. These $1 preview laps are better than $20 laps that I've had in clubs in other parts of the country with lots of slow grinding and mutual touching. The only problem is that the dancers are using these previews only to solicit private dances, so they make the rounds to other customers pretty quickly, in spite of the fact that you may be willing to continue tipping them as long as they remain in your lap. That's one of the reasons that it's a good idea to visit during slow periods - the girls will spend more time with you and then make their way back to you more quickly after having made the rounds to the rest of the patrons around the stage. With most of the girls a polite "thanks, maybe later" is usually all it takes to refuse her offer for a trip to a private room at the end of her set, and if you change your mind later, don't worry, she'll be back.

All in all a great club if lap dances and private dances are your thing. If you're looking for a glitzy environment with real dancing and pole work, this is not the place, but if you lean more toward the "up close and personal", somewhat more sleazy clubs, you should not be disappointed.
