With Cheetah's closed for New Year's, I decided to check up on Wallanon's pick for San Diego.

This is the first club I've EVER been to where one of the staff admitted it was slow and suggested bargaining with the entertainers on dance prices. I appreciated the honesty and who knows, maybe such negotiating actually spurs business??? Anyways, the music in the main room was waaaaaay too loud! Upon entry I was the only one at a rather large rail maybe 10 or more one-piece, chair-on-wheels at the edge of the oval-shaped stage. SHOCKINGLY, the "San Diego moat" wasn't present here! Dancers could come right up to you, and in fact one did just that. She knealt on the rail and dipped her head into my crotch and rubbed. THIS IS SAN DIEGO, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!? And, they serve alcohol too. I know because we were all treated to a champagne toast at midnight.

The DJ is off-beat and sometimes funny. I believe songs were full length, and a dance was $20 performed out in the open, but in the far corner. One would be out of view of most of the club patrons, but the DJ's crow's nest seemingly would have an easy view, albeit from across the room. There are also VIP dances available, and I think they were priced at 5 for $120. VIP dances are performed in somewhat posh conditions, yet mostly visible to anyone bothering to look from most parts of the club. The VIP areas are actually cordoned off cells of 8 x 8 feet, with cushioned couches and pillows, and walls of sheen or sheer mesh, like bridal veils. It was easy to turn one's head 90 degrees from the stage to see what some guy was getting in VIP. It looked as though the rules were fully clothed for the women and no-touch for the guys. I only saw one pair in a VIP dance, but that's the behavior I saw. If this in fact holds true, the "mileage" is definitely a lot higher at Cheetah's.
