For years I've been making trips to NYC and hauling out to NJ to find a decent lap dance (Go-Go Rama, specifically), convinced that everyplace in the city was either an upscale low-contact club or a rip-off. Now I realize I've been wrong.

Gallaghers is interesting -- as reviews point out, there is a very different set of dancers there in the daytime (I went on a weekday) and at night. Daytime is mostly South American, though I did find a couple of others (Asian, Eastern European). Nights are mostly Eastern European, but with somewhat more diversity. I found the dancers more to my liking at night, but your preferences may be different.

At all times, there are two sections for by-the-dance dances ($20) -- upstairs overlooking the bar and downstairs sort of behind the bar. (The bar is where most people sat, and in the center of it is the most-used stage that often has 3 dancers; they come around the bar for tips after their dances). These individual dances ranged from fair (and hands-off) to highly interactive, hands-on. Seems slightly better daytime (less supervision) but mostly just variable.
