Kongo Klub's atmosphere can vary greatly...
Kongo Klub's atmosphere can vary greatly depending on the time of year, but is usually one of the more fun places in the area. It's pretty spacious, with a long bar and a stage that is lower than most of the floor, creating a sort of stadium seating effect. The drinks don't cost much more than at a regular bar and the clientele tends to be a lot of hunters and locals. Pretty unassuming place overall. Level of cleanliness seemed fine to me, as well.
When I was there, there were maybe 8 dancers in the place, and there were probably 30 patrons. It was difficult to get a dancer to talk to you as there were so many people in the place. There's a lap dance space in the back of the club, but a bouncer that watches pretty closely over it. Still, I had two dances with attractive dancers that included some enjoyable grinding, but it' a "no touching" kind of place. Dance cost $20 plus a tip, so it won't set you back much plus a $5 cover charge. Worth stopping in if you're going through and have time to burn.
