I visited here with my boyfriend on his birthday. I was a lot better than I had expected - my boyfriend used to call it the "House of Pain" because of all the junkies and addicts that worked there. That was not at all in evidence. There was no cover in the daytime and it's $10 at night. Drinks were kind of expensive at $10 a piece, but at least they weren't weak. The bar was small and the selection wasn't very good. The stage was small, but it seemed to work. The whole place was small, but since it wasn't crowded when we were there it was OK. I was there during the day, so I could definitely see it getting a bit uncomfortably crowded with drunken assholes later. It didn't seem dirty. Lighting was comfortably low, and the music was quiet enough you could actually hear what the person next to you was saying (a problem I regularly encounter anywhere there's a DJ). The girls picked their own music but none of it was obnoxious. The lady's room was on the second floor, accessible by elevator, which was a little inconvenient but not too bad, and probably not a concern of the largely male patronage.

The girls were average looking - bodies mostly thin but not necessarily toned. Faces - some were cute, some meh, some pretty. A few looked kind of worn but those were actually some of the better dancers. There was a great deal of diversity - blondes, brunettes, redheads, black, white, and even an Asian, Indian, and (I'm guessing) Pakistani. Plenty of tattoos and piercings as well, but not on everyone. When we got there, the girl on stage wasn't doing much dancing, but once we started showing interest (and tipping) the show on the stage got a lot better. Some of those girls can really move! I saw some amazing pole tricks. Unfortunately they seem to do a bit more butt wiggling than gyrating, which I wasn't into. There is a gap between the bar and the stage which means the tips go into the dancer's outstretched hand instead of her undergarments.

Off stage, the dancers were friendly and talkative. They seemed real. Unfortunately, they're supposed to get you to buy them drinks (for $30 a pop) to get you to sit and hang out with them. Luckily for me & my boyfriend, since I'm female, they could (and did) stand around and talk to us a little without management complaining too much. Their company was lovely, and I wouldn't have minded buying drinks - if only it were less than $30.

Private dances were available for $25, but I didn't get one, as I was running low on money.

Overall, I had a lot of fun, and would definitely go back again. In fact, we had to waste some time the next day before leaving Boston and we went right back and had another good time.
