I went back to the Slipper...
I went back to the Slipper on this year's "Hooters and Scooters" motorcycle ride. The run went all day and the Slipper was the last stop in the early evening. The club is quite spacious with a large center stage with 2 very tall poles and there is an auxillary stage in the South wing of the building as well. "Lap" dance area is upstairs surrounding the club. I've been to this club before and did not really have a good time, but it was on the run, and there were a lot of women on the ride who were anxious to take their tops off, so I felt it was worth a shot.
The club itself has a very cheap feel. Not really any low lights and almost no velvet to speak of. Wood paneling all around and a bunch of regulars take away from the 'club' feeling. No cover as it was included with the ride admission fee, but I think it is normally $6 or something like that after 7PM. Beer was not too bad at $4, but again that might have been because of the event. DJ mixes up a pretty good selection from Hard Rock to some Rockabilly type country to Hip-Hop tracks. Songs are about 3.5 minutes long.
Stage rotation goes 2 songs on the auxillary stage, then 2 songs on the back of the main stage and 2 at the front. Topless on first song, bottomless peeks on second. There are some really good pole dancers at the club and some who just take off their tops and walk around. Most girls give a pretty good 'boobs in your face' for $1 tip at the rail.
