One of a small chain in the Philly area, the Bristol Club Risque is a well-run example of the area's style. The club is basic but clean and honest. The staff range from disinterested to polite. As in most clubs, it is the dancers who make or break the place. A year or so ago the quality of the dancers, both in physical attraction and in personality, was very uneven and often a disappointment. While some unevenness remains, the dancers as a group are now a reliable reason to visit the club. Contact in the private dance area was warm and friendly but distinctly limited by legal considerations. The 'happy ending' crowd will go elsewhere and that's fine.
