I went to Jen's Den for...

I went to Jen's Den for the first time this week and plan on going back. No cover, drinks priced moderately ($6.50 mixed, $4 beers) and pool tables available. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's fairly large inside with a u-shaped bar and large private room with leather couches. There are stools around the bar with two large TVs and a few tables scattered around. The pole/stage is in a corner and large enough for one girl to dance. While I was there a couple of girls offered to use the pole, but no one seemed interested and it went totally unused. The men's room is fairly disgusting, but the rest of the place is clean enough to not drive anyone away. The clientele ranges from college-aged guys (and even a few girlfriends while I was there) to an older crowd.

The bar staff (2 guys while I was there)is nice enough, but not the fastest group in the world. They're more than happy to charge their 10% if you want to draw cash at the bar, but not too fast to bring your tab when you ask to close it. There were 8-10 girls working and about 20 customers. The girls worked their way around the bar stopping to talk and offer dances, but went away with a smile if you said no.

The girls range from below average to slightly above average, but make up with talent and hustle. the emphasis is on private dances in the back at $20 a song. There were a variety of ages and looks with girls ranging from mid 20s to late 30s-early 40s. Some were dressed in outfits with others just wearing a bikini/lingerie. Some are much more aggressive than others, but none seemed overwhelmingly so. While there, I went private with 2 girls who were both worth the money. They quickly figured out what I liked and concentrated on providing. A friend who was with me was less pleased with his girl who started dancing mid-song and expected full pay plus tip. I did not have this problem with the other girls, so I don't think that's the typical situation. In fact, whenever I got to the backroom mid-song, the girl sat and talked until the next song started. Overall, the girls were personable, fun and definitely interested in making the customer happy.
