I frequent Trixie's quite a bit...

I frequent Trixie's quite a bit here in Louisville. Actually, that night I had decided to go to PT's for the first time, but I figured I would give the old stand-by a nice go. It wasn't until this specific night that I understood Trixie's could be such an unstable place as far as quality goes.

Appearance:

The building is not bashful at all, parking is decent and safe. On busy nights you might have to park across the street and crossing Preston is no joke. The Goldroom is connected to the Knockout Saloon (that's another review, another day). As soon as you walk in, there is a window to your left and that's where your cover goes. Trixie's is cool about offering a free pass on their website, but forget about it unless you're planning your trip in advance. They require that it be printed in your email. A lot of BS, but whatever. So you enter after you've paid, and to your left is the main floor. You've got two stages, one main in the middle and the other askew on the side smaller. There is a floor upstairs for private dances, but they're not so private as there are bouncers a plenty. Behind the main floor is the bar and various other rooms such as the dungeon room and another room for LDs.
