For the money this is still...

For the money this is still the best club for the money in Lawrence, and is worth the drive from KC. Dances are $10 and full contact. It seems that traffic is down to this club, because it seems most times I come in it is slow, but I never go in on Friday or Saturday night. I assume that the club is slow, not just because of the times I have made it there, but the economy has slowed down the number of customers. Drinks are reasonably priced and are not pushed hard by the dancers, but I generally offer to buy them a drink when they sit down.

This club seems pretty old and a little run down, but that doesn't really matter that much to me. I seems to be about the same as it was 10 years ago with a small stage with a few tables around it, and across the aisle from the stage there is a line of tables where most of the customers congregate and where many of the dancers give their dances. In the last few years they have added a VIP section behind the row of chairs that they claim is overflow .... which makes sense, because dances don't cost any more there.

The dances are very reasonable at $10 a dance and you can touch anywhere except the g-string. Some dancers are "friendly", fun to talk to while others don't seem to have much interest in being there except to part you from your money ... so YMMV (your mileage may very). Quite a mix of girls, and quite a bit of turnover, as there is new variety most times I go. Surprisingly, I have met very few that were going to KU the local university. If the club found a way to recruit more of the college girls, this would be an awesome club, but the $10 dances sell me and keep me coming back.
