Platinum is a great club. It's not perfect but the imperfections are rather minor. I made a rare Friday night visit. For an old guy like me it's not the best time to visit. The club wants a party atmosphere and weekend nights they go all out. Loud, loud music; big crowds of young people (including couples); but lots of dancers and good stage tipping. Great dances at night but it's harder to get the great prices. Still you can find them for less than $20 per dance. Many night time girls push the champagne room. It's expensive and generally a waste of money but if you've got it, it's your money, or was before you went to the champagne room. The club just charges way too much for it but they seem to be able to get it. They were all full while I was there. By the time you pay the room fee, tip everyone and pay your dancer you're looking at $600 and up.

If you're in the club after 2am you need to know about South Carolina liquor laws. Beer, wine, and things like hard lemonade can be sold from 10am Monday until 2am Sunday, 24 hours a day, however hard liquor can only be sold from 10am till 2am each day. The club stays open and is packed all night Saturday so at 2am they begin selling nonalcoholic beer and no liquor or real beer. Other nights you can purchase beer & wine only after 2am.

I still prefer happy hour (4-8) when drink prices are great and there's a nice selection of day and night dancers, but drink prices are decent the rest of the time. It may be only a bit quieter but it's much less crowded in the club and the couch room during the day and early afternoon. ROB are rare during the day and they're not common at night but there are lots of traveling girls coming through and they tend to work more at night. A ROB may just work the night you visit. They give change in two dollar bills. Be prepared. Usually you can get some ones if you ask. The club allows smoking and they sell cigars. It’s pretty smokey inside and you will reek of it when you leave.
