Stopped into Wise Guys during a...

Stopped into Wise Guys during a tour of the Washington Park area. As previous reviewers have commented, the area in which these clubs are located is pretty rough but I have never encountered any problems in numerous visits over the years.

Once I entered the club and paid a $5 cover I learned that I was one of less than a handful of customers in the place. I guess I should have guessed not much was happening here when the doorman was reading a novel. I ordered a drink and sat at the bar. I was approached by the dancer who was getting off the stage but she was not all that attractive. No other dancers approached me, a couple sat at random tables through out the club as if waiting either for a bunch of customers or closing time.

I finished my drink and departed. I will return again in the future as this has often been a fun club to visit--I'm hoping this was only an "off night" and that it will be better next time.
