What a difference [the] day makes. I have previously given a favorable review for Club Fantasies, which has been my favorite club in the Providence area, primarily from a value perspective (see my prior review for more details about the club itself). The dancers are not as attractive as those at Desire or Cadillac Lounge, but I always felt that this club 'got it' by making special deals available for slow days/times: $10 a dance all day on Monday and Tuesday, and 2-for-1 from 12-2 pm and 5-7 pm on Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday. My previous visits have all been on Monday or Tuesday to take advantage of this special deal, and during those visits I was pretty happy with the club. Again, not the best club and not the hottest women, but really the best value around.

However, I recently went to the club on a Thursday, and it was a complete disaster. I got there as the club opened at noon, but there were no dancers. The dancers didn't really come out until 1-1:30 pm, so basically there was only time to get one or two dances under the 2-for-1 promotion. I left for a few hours and came back around 5 pm. This time, again, there were almost no dancers, apparently because shift change is around 6 pm; many dancers left early, and the later shift either hadn't arrived or was still getting ready in the back. Either way, for that two hour span, the club had a total of two different dancers on stage, and the stage was empty for long stretches of time. I got so bored that I actually fell asleep, which is a first for me at a strip club.

If you visit this club often, there are definitely signs that the management here is not so great. For me, situations like this are a big problem. Having only one or two dancers in a big club like this on a relatively busier night is not acceptable. And if a club offers a special deal, then it should make sure that dancers are available to take customers' money. Either the managers or dancers (or both) have no idea what they are doing. For me, this is the last straw. There are many other good clubs in the area. I go to a club to have fun, not to be bored out of my skull, and as far as I'm concerned, that is more likely to happen here than anywhere else. So for now, I'm sticking with the Cadillac Lounge, which has better looking dancers and a much better stage show. If you plan to go to Fantasies, I would only do so on Monday or Tuesday, and I'd avoid being there close to opening or during transition times. Consider yourself warned.
