Definition of financial Rape: Let's see... $10 annual membership on first visit, $4 drinks (2 minimum), $6 ATM fee, $1 tips to each dancer leaving the stage, and about $480/hr ($20 for 2-2.5min song) for dances after 10PM and on weekends. Why are we supporting this?
But I see that I am in the minority. The place was packed by 10PM. The doorman waved the cover charge, presumably because I arrived early, before 8PM. There is essentially one large room with front and rear stages, separated by one bar. There are tip rails around each stage. The back stage is rarely in use until things get busy. There about 6-8 small flat screen TVs on the walls, all tuned to the same channel. Oh, and two pool tables. Walls are lined with mostly chairs and some benches. The bartender and waitresses were extremely lively and friendly, unlike a previous (Sunday) visit where the bartender didn't seem to want to be there.
You will suffer a constant barrage of dancers asking your name and if you would like some company, especially if you sit down. I know they are trying to be friendly, (and generate income) but put yourself in the position of the customer who is trying to sit and enjoy the show and conversation with friends, constantly being interrupted by dancers either wanting a dance or a $1 tip. I guess many if not most men will not buy dances until teased by some close contact. Me... I look over the choices and go for what I want. And I got great results! Ladies, the stage is where you advertise and entice me to buy dances from you. Not an excuse to beg for $40 in tips.
