I made a couple of recent stops into Sonny's, both on weekend evenings. This place is starting to grow on me. $10 cover, bottled beer ran $5, plenty of seating around the stage and at the bar. Seemed to be mostly a blue collar type crowd. The girls are a mixed lot, some real lookers, some not so much, overall I'd rate the girls in the 5-9 range. The dances on the main floor are $10 and pretty much hands off. The $20 dances around the edge of the main floor offer a bit more contact. The curtained off VIP area (4 for $100) offers a much better return on your money, the dances I've had back there involved lots of 2 way contact (and often run for more than 4 for songs for that $100). There are a couple of other higher priced VIP areas also and if you have the money knock yourself out but they are a bit too steep for me (I believe $250 for 30 minutes & $400 for an hour). Gripes? There are a more than a few very persistent dancers that will not take a polite "no, thank you" as a sign that you don't want a dance. Many of the girls will also pester you to buy them drinks if you are sitting at the bar (which is fine if it's girl I will be getting dances from but otherwise can be a bit bothersome). Overall, if you can find the right girl (again, it can be a mixed lot), there's no reason you can't have a very good time here.
