I had been thinking about going...

I had been thinking about going to Mario's for a long time, but I never did. Until now. I guess I figured that a club in central Massachusetts, not even in a large town. . . I mean, how good could it be? Boy, was I mistaken. This is a very good club, a great club even. Nice facilities, fully nude, attractive dancers, and not much upsell. It's all good. The only caveat is that you're almost certainly not going to get extras here during a routine lap dance, but if you understand that then be prepared to have a good time.

First, the club is pretty nice and clean. It looks like it has been recently renovated. There is a bar near the entrance with a large U-shaped stage nearby and multiple tables in an adjacent area lined with large TVs. The stage is elevated, so if you sit stageside then you are at ankle level, and it is easy for dancers to interact with patrons when they lie down onstage. And you can get nice and close when you are tipping. During the day, there is one dancer on at a time. When it gets busier in the evenings, there are 2-3 dancers onstage at a time. There is a DJ, but he was pretty unobtrusive, and some of the songs he was playing were ridiculously long. Drinks are average in price(roughly $4-5 for a beer), and waitresses do not pressure to buy drinks. I even tried the food when I was there (roughly $10 for very large portions of a burger/fries or hot entree), and it wasn't bad. The club got pretty busy on the Friday night I was there, and there were even a few women there (two of whom were putting on quite a show themselves). It seemed the club 'got' the concept of having women there, because they were giving the ladies free stuff and encouraging them.

The other big surprise for me here was how attractive the dancers were. Yes, I read the reviews. . . but come on, it's the middle of nowhere. Where do they find these women? Now I'm not saying that they were all knockouts, but dancers ranged from 5-10, with most in the 7-9 range. And there was a dancer that I would rate a solid 10 named Jessica (and I do not give those out easily), who would do well in any club. Lap dances are $20 for a fully nude dance. I tried 4-5 different dancers, and they all allowed full contact anywhere except the kitty, and a couple even offered some decent 2-way contact. Lap dancers are done in little cubbies off of an open area, so there is not that much privacy, but on the other hand you are not really that aware of other patrons near you. That said, because the action is easily monitored by the bouncer standing in the doorway of the lap dance area, I think extras are pretty much off the table in that area. I can't speak for the VIP room, because I did not partake. I also thought that dancers here achieved a nice balance between sitting with patrons for a little while and chatting and circulating the room to ask about lap dances.
