So when I was in this past Wednesday they gave me a promo card good for 1/2 off Saturday night's admission. Who was on the promo? Two Playboy girls: Tiffany Selby and Kara Monaco (apparently the latter was on "Girls Next Door".) Anyways, the special guests, advertised to be present from 10pm until close, were finally announced as being in the house (well, HYPED by Mr. JJ Diamond) at 11:20 pm, only a mere 80 minutes late... Said women spent their first two hours seated up in VIP with house security doing who knows what (actually they looked bored). Finally, after around 1:15am, said special guests were brought down to the main floor to sign autographs and take pictures for the little people. And here I was thinking with them starting at 10, I'd be out by 11pm. NO. One might think their flight was late, etc., but the same promo card had them at a downtown Milwaukee bar the previous night, so no flight delay seemed reasonable. Neither would a traffic tie-up: this is Milwaukee, and traffic problems like Chicago, New York, and LA don't happen here.

That said, there were 50 gals working. The place got packed. Even overflowed at one point as apparently there's a basement club where males dance for ladies (but until that opened, said audience of women clogged up the main floor of Silk.) So I, Steven King (JJ likes to out the look-a-like every time he's in the house) and plenty of other guys sat at the rail with our singles. With a huge stage and four girls at a time entertaining different portions of it, a song being "less than 3 minutes" and the girls rotating after each, one gets a lot here in a short period of time at the rail. Why? Because the girls rightly know the rail is advertising to get a guy to grab you for a $20 private dance (of which the girls keep $15) later. A small sampler: I held out my single immediately upon Persia's arrival at the pole. She saw it and came to me first (which is a good thing here beacuse one can get leftovers from upwards of 12 other guys or more during a single song...) only, Persia, a true hustler, grabs aforementioned single from my hand and sticks it in my mouth for more difficult and satisfying extraction. And only for $1!

A second benefit of the rail here is there isn't much seating between the stage and main bar. Yet this part is closest to: 1) the main entrance (i.e. the "fresh meat" for the dancers), 2) the dancer's lockerroom (where the 50 gals come-and-go constantly) and 3) the $20 lap dance area behind the main bar (where dancers take the meat.) So railside by the bar is high traffic, which means one gets the added benefit of solicitations/teases from dancers off stage which one doesn't have to pay for. Further, some dancers are just looking for a chance to get off their feet and a seated patron at the rail gets free company that way as well. Throw in a little back massage while they're on your lap and soon you get even more company, free of charge. So, with a little strategizing Silk can be VERY cheap and yet quite enjoyable. Just don't tip off Silk management for they no doubt want you to pay $20 a song to be with a dancer and/or $300 for a champagne room.
