I visited Shimmers for the 1st...

I visited Shimmers for the 1st time on Wed. evening around 10.

Shimmers is located on Foster, in a commercial area near the Lents neighborhood. It's easy to see from the street, and there's a large, parking lot next to it.

Inside, the club is really just one big rectangular room. The bar is right near the entrance. When I went in, it was staffed by an extremely personable bartender who happily poured me a pint of local microbrew.
