This is a typical pub strip...
This is a typical pub strip venue in so much as the girls walk round with their pint glass getting the guys to put in whatever they feel they should. There didn't used to be a minimum and as far as I'm aware there still isn't although the girls seem to have taken it upon themselves to make sure no-one puts in less than a quid. The place must be under new management as I've noticed recently there have been several changes, all designed to rip the punter off and few of them enhancing your experience. This place has sat at the edge of a trading estate with an 'only fools and horses' Robin Reliant outside for almost as long as Heathrow has been around. It's an institution. Sadly I'm afraid the new management are just trying to rip people off now. True there's still no cover charge, drinks from the full bar are no more than any other London pub (about £3.50 a pint)but whereas it used to have a lovely relaxed atmosphere where you felt you could stay all afternoon, now it feels aggressive. For a start there used to be 2-3 dancers who'd perform 2 songs each, usually taking one song to peel off and the other to show you everything they had to offer, now there are 5-6 girls all doing half a song each resulting in less time to study their form and a far more rushed show. Very often the women use the shorter time as an excuse not to actually get naked at all if they don't feel enough dosh has been put in their glass. Then there's the newly added lap dance curtain, a crude little toilet cubicle size area squeezed between the bar and the bogs. Here the girls will do lap dancing for you for a tenner a song but with the songs seriously shortened it's not good value at all. Even the car park hasn't escaped change with big signs everywhere trying to get you pay for the security guard to protect it; from what I have to wonder?
It's a real shame that this place has deteriorated into this greedy money machine. It used to be a fun place to relax, it was always full and you could happily spend an entire shift there. Now the place is usually half empty, you find you've dropped £30 - £40 in half an hour and the standard of dancer hasn't improved. I used to come here everytime I was in the Heathrow area (about 20 times a year) but now there is more choice and this place isn't doing anything to keep my custom. It's a shame but the new management don't seem to have learned anything from the saying 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it!'
