I've gone to Calendar Girls for...

I've gone to Calendar Girls for years, mainly because it's the nicest club in Hudson. But that doesn't mean it's a nice club. It's kind of a dump, really.

Let's address the failings of the club. Number one is the place is falling apart. The bathroom is terrible. New management has installed a new toilet in the handicapped stall, but the bathroom is still always dirty, with water and paper towels on the floor. Ventilation is awful. I don't smoke and it seems like everybody there does, dancers included. By the time the place is full the smoke is so thick it makes my eyes water. The club has also been attracting an unsavory crowd lately. Lots of gangstas and wannabes. I was there on a Wednesday night and there was a fight in the parking lot. Cops came, someone was arrested, and a guy was transported to the ER because he was hit in the face with a beer bottle. Kind of scary.

Dancers run the gamut from nasty chubby tattooed skanks to cute young newbies. I can't say I've ever seen a dancer here who took my breath away, but there are a couple who are cute. Lots of single moms and stretched out bellies, though. There is a pregnant dancer, too. Ick. But---they all are very attentive and the hustle for drinks and dances isn't too strong. There are a couple of hardcore hustlers----STAR being first and foremost amongst them. She's a fairly attractive blonde but watch out. She likes to tell you "I'm going to get a drink, OK?" then expect you to pay for it.
