The Lansing branch of this chain...

The Lansing branch of this chain is huge-- and must get packed on peak nights (other than a tuesday night, when I attended). As it was, there was a decent crowd and about a dozen dancers. It has the flaws of all Deja's: shortened songs, VERY young (unskilled) dancers, a factory-like aseembly-line atmosphere.

The days of spontenaeity have long since been squeezed out of this place. I recall, years ago, some flagrantly entertaining "bed dances," true amateurs on amateur night, waitresses coaxed into dancing-- all tactics that made for unpredictable and enjoyable adult entertainment. Oh well.
