FLASHDANCERS is a well known club...
FLASHDANCERS is a well known club a few blocks down across the street from the Ed sullivan theater where David lettermen tapes his show.
After entering through the door on 48th street you descend down a flight of stairs to a subterranean retreat.this is a very well maintained club There is large bar in front of you as you come in. To the right of that bar is the couch dance setup It is right out in the open and offers little privacy at all.Off to the left is a horseshoe stage. There usually are about 3 dancers on stage at the same time. There are some small tables directly across from the stage lined up in front of the bar that you can sit at if you want a close view
The club has a comfortable atmosphere. The drinks are very pricey, even for New York. The girls are pretty with hot bodies. Lots of them are in the of 7-9 range. They are genuinely very friendly. Many of them are foreign, mostly from eastern Europe: Russia,Ukraine.Romania,Czech republic, etc.
Watch your wallet though. Many try to offer you 15-30 minutes in a private room in the back for $300 to $400. The couch dances are generally pretty low contact but this last time when i was there it was a lot more contact. I don't know if that was just a particularly generous dancer or the fact that the girls EVERYWHERE have to do a little more to entice the guys to part with their money during this recession.
