Since my last review of Allstar's, I have become a bit of a regular here. It is quite conveniently located for me and so a visit here is pretty easy, maybe too easy. Most recent visit was on a Friday evening and, since I often drop by for a while on Friday's, this review is a bit of an amalgam of several visits.

As to the club itself, I have found it to have a pretty positive vibe. Didn't always feel that way. The bartenders/waitresses/bouncer are all pretty cool people and enhance the experience without getting in the way. OK, sometimes there might be a little too much talking/screaming over the mic if the place is busy and they do push the dancer drinks fairly hard but at least it shows they are trying and it is does give the place a little bit of a fun feel, even when it is pretty dead. And, sometimes, it can be pretty dead. Late afternoon or early evenings can sometimes lack dancers and often lack customers. That can be a boon if you are looking to just hang out and shoot the breeze with the girls. If you aren't too annoying, they don't seem to mind sitting and chit-chatting for a while. If you buy them a drink, they'll typically hang out a little longer.

That brings us to the dancers. Like any small club in the midwest, there are a few ladies here who might not be up to the highest level but most all seem to have a pretty good attitude and are friendly, if nothing else. That being said, I would say that the overall quality of the women here is on a par with any other Lawrence club and probably better than the Outhouse. A lot of the hottest dancers don't show up until later in the evenings (8 or 9) and so you might miss them if you just drop in and don't stick around. And there are some real hotties here. Nice variety of blondes, brunettes, black, white, short, tall, skinny and thick. So while not every girl will be your personal cup of tea, you can usually find someone who is. Most are quite appreciate of a dollar or two on stage and don't seem to mind if you lie on the stage to deliver it. Have seen ladies give what amounts to a mini-dance to customers sitting by the stage or lying on it and they look pretty enjoyable. I usually just walk up and tip them and even that will typically get a little nuzzling and some nice contact. Private dances are usually pretty decent but I wouldn't call them spectacular. But, then again, that depends a great deal on the dancer. I haven't necessarily picked my dance partners here by who I thought would give the highest mileage but who I felt like I clicked with and found appealing.
