Long story long: For a night owl and late sleeper like me, there are fewer pleasures in life than waking up in the middle of the afternoon and seeing that the winter sun is just about to zoom over the horizon. It makes me feel like no one has detected me from my vulnerable hibernation, and now that the world is about to retire, I am free to rampage and pillage to my heart’s content. I expected to do that at the Fox’s Den, a place recommended by fellow TUSCLer ClevelandTom for when I’m in a no-bullshit, wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am mood. And instead of waking up from my slumber needing to put something into my mouth, I was hunting for someone who’d turn the tables, so to speak.

The Fox’s Den is located on Brookpark Dr., the location of many of the city’s strip clubs. I had to drive a long way from my hotel, but Brookpark seems to be one of the longest side streets in Cleveland, and it helps that Hopkins is close by. The FD is a one-level non-descript building at an intersection. Blink, though, and you might miss it; the club is set back from Brookpark, and if you’re coming from the west there’s a white fence that blocks the view as you get to the intersection at Smith Rd. Also, at the time there were a lot of construction cones that distracted my attention. If you see an auto repair place called the Geek Shop, you’re close. Parking’s around the back, in front of a Tire Depot Discount store. No cover during the day.
