Stopped by for the first time...

Stopped by for the first time in many months during lunch time. I always hated the way they force $2 bills on you. Since I had some $1 coins dumped on me by the post office I thought that I would use them to pay the admission fee and thus avoid the $2 bills. When I presented the coins to the lady at the entrance she stated that she was not allowed to take them. I asked why as they are legal tender. She said she would call a manager to explain. She calls and asks the person on the other end of the phone to ask "Curtis" to come to the entrance. After a few minutes in comes a guy in a suit and tie who says he is the manager. I ask why they won't take $1 coins. He said it is the club's choice to take what they want to take. I said but these are legal money. He says "the law is on our side", we don't have to take them. I stated that I would call the Secret Service to get their opinion. I asked what his name was so I could tell the Secret Service who to contact. He says his name is "John". He would not give a last name. Notice how "Curtis" became "John". I did call the Secret Service. They said they had never heard of a business refusing money. They also said there was no "law" that allowed them to refuse it. They said they were going to drop by there and ask to be shown this "law". I know I went overboard but the management of this club is just plain arrogant.
