another visit to sd, with multiple trips to tj. again, stayed in downtown sd, took the trolley to san ysidro, and walked across the border and to downtown tj. weekday daytime visits only. on this trip, i found the girls at hk to be much more attractive than my previous visit several months ago. in fact, i only used the services at adelita bar once, and spent the rest of my time at hk. there are a lot of girls at hk, and yes, there are several unattractive ones, but there are certainly some super hot ones also. the club is big, with multiple stages and other platforms for the girls to dance on. it's also loud as heck. drinks are $3. if you want to sit with a girl at a table, you have to buy a $7 drink for them. you can chat with them (most know very limited, or no english), as well as get very touchy-feely with them. this can go on for a decent amount of time. the only annoying thing is the army of waiters who are constantly nagging you to buy more drinks for yourself and the girls. i tried a $20 lapdance upstairs in an enclosed booth, and wasn't impressed. short amount of time, with nothing special, kind of like your standard usa lap dance :). though it's not as well advertised, i think you can pretty much negotiate a hotel room session with any girl in the club. there's not a set price for such services, so often times the girl will try to high-ball you with quotes such as $100 for half hour. fortunately, prices are negotiable. i paid between $70 and $80 for half hour with several different girls. i was more than willing to pay this extra amount, as the girls i picked, imo, were some of the most beautiful mexican girls i've ever seen. the hotel next door is $11 for half hour. funny thing was that if you gave the hotel guy a $20 bill, he'd give you change in all ones, and would only give back 8 of them, hoping you didn't count that mess of ones. he did this multiple time for me, and i thought it was funny when i pointed it out to him. one good thing is that the clean-up crew here only is one person (as opposed to 3 for adelita bar hotel), so less nonsense tipping. anyways, had a great time in tj again. good thing i don't live in or close to sd, or i might spend too much time in tj! will return in the future, and play it by ear to see if hk or ab is the place to be. one last interesting point. i mainly used us dollars here, but i once did withdraw some pesos from the atm. the current exchange rate is 13+ pesos to one usd (you get better exchange rate when you withdraw directly from you bank account). one girl i paid $80 once before quoted 800 pesos ($61.54) for the same services. the club/hotel itself converts the usd prices to 12 pesos/usd. so even with atm fees and such, i believe you get more bang for your buck using pesos. i think i'll do so in the future to avoid having to haul around lots of usd.
