Visited on a recent Monday afternoon. Business was seriously slow; maybe a dozen girls, and maybe a dozen or 15 guys. One or two dancers were overly agressive with the "Wanna dance? Whaddya mean, not just yet? Why not? Why wait? Come on..." Very much the "sure, the money is in your wallet, but it's my money, and I'm going to harrass you until you give it to me." This sort of attitude is a total turnoff for me, but there's always one or two dancers in a club that think this approach works. Fortunately, they're a distinct minority at the 'downer.

I got a set of fabulous dances from LL, a beautiful dancer originally from Jamaica. She's intelligent, articulate, computer-savvy, friendly, cuddly, provocative, and a nice lap-full. As she bawdily puts it, "I handle d**k for a living", and she handles it well. I didn't ask about extras; that's not where my head was at that day. But I was pretty darn happy with a set of $20 dances, with no pressure for an upsell.

I used to be a big fan of Seductions, the club next door; I'm less enamored of it than I was. The 'Downer has more of that old fun atmosphere, with lots of hands-on and intimate lap dancing, without the "it's kinda like a brothel, pay yer money and let's get down to it" feel that is often evident at other clubs in the area.
