Arrived at about 6, mainly to have a beer or two and see what the Fort Myers club scene was like. Escapades is laid out with a small center stage (probably 10'x10', although it's hexagonal) with a pole, nice pleather chairs facing the stage, and couches around the perimeter of the room. The club itself is rather small, and it could use a few less chairs getting in the way of walking around. Ditto the bar -- the stools are comfy, but they're just a little too plentiful. It's fairly upscale, compared to some of the dives I've been to in the past.

The vibe is that of a club with a serious regular patronage -- a number of the girls were all repeating the process of sitting in a guy's lap, getting up for their stage time, then going straight back to the same guy to sit down again. A number of them seemed busy with LD's and the champagne room, but there were girls to go around.

Grabbed a beer ($4, with tip) and snagged a couch; some of the dancers came over to chat with me, but I didn't really connect with any of them (my fault, for going out right after work; I was decompressing after a very busy week). No LD's from the day crew. Too bad, as buying a LD before 7 PM gets you a free beer.
