So I'm at a party with some people and at 11 and drunk they want to go to Sammies, who am I to complain? Cover is still 7 bucks and drinks are still pretty much average in terms of strength, size and price. The decor still hasn't changed in 15 years. The club was certainly a little slower than it usually is though, that might be the economy and it might be competition from the furnace across town.

The change here is the dancer quality, which is up quite a bit and is currently better than what the furnace has, although the furnace has about 3 Moby Dick girls who show up once a month seemingly but are insanely hot. Contact is not happening but I find the atmosphere here much more relaxed, the girls friendlier, and the actually effort put into dancing for your tips much better than across town. You also avoid the hordes of hipster late 30's couples who seem to all flock to strip clubs trying to recapture sexual magic in their lifes. Booze and boobs is what its about at Sammy's, and I love that lack of pretension.
