Legendary joint. Haven't been there in awhile, always had a more "downhome" feel than the bigger, sanitized, everything-too-nice modern clubs. Was definitely a step up from the "Chez When" in Lawrence, though, which was like stepping into a Tom Waits record.

Best memory of the Blue Moon: Must have been 25 years ago, kidnapped Billy G. after work and dragged him to the Blue Moon - got him a Polaroid snapshot with special guest Chesty Morgan for $20 to make sure his old lady believed where he had been (drunken logic). It worked, got him off the hook. The wife was the only one who noticed that Chesty had a lazy eye.
