I continue to drop by this...

I continue to drop by this club more often now. I can't believe more guys haven't discovered it. Dancers are pretty high on the looks scale. I've only seen one overweight dancer and she more than made up for that by being incredibly sexy and friendly. No DJ (yeah!). Most dancers appear satisfied with $1 per song tip. Dancers are "house" dancers, not booked through an agency, so it's pretty easy to find the dancers you like. (I know a couple of dancers who dance a day or two at Shimmers and a day or two at another club, but that's clearly the exception.)

Most afternoons seem to have 5-8 dancers, but rarely that many guys at one time. With a longer rotation and not many tipping customers, these dancers can't make it on stage dancing alone. They clearly need to do "table" dances. I can't really call them "private" dances since the dance room is largely open to the main room with no curtains. However, between my personal experience and watching others get table dances, I'd say they're typically about as good as you could expect given the lack of privacy.

I doubt they're going to be able to keep up the "lots of dancers" schedule unless they get more customers. One of the dancers told me the club is now owned by Mike Webb (of Webb's Pub fame of years past) who is trying to make it the place to go. We'll see if that happens. In the meantime, I plan to continue dropping by on a fairly frequent basis.
