My buddy and I stopped...

My buddy and I stopped in Paper Moon Friday night for the 1st time at about 11:30. We had been there a couple times when it was Dauphine’s, but the look and the vibe are entirely different now. $15 cover charge. Inside, the place was hopping, and hard to find a seat. A waitress in a nurse outfit helped us find a seat near the 2nd stage.

The clientele was mostly in their late 20’s, early 30’s. We noticed that there were lots of female customers too. I saw one guy who was wearing a large t-shirt over his shirt that said “UNDER 21 – DO NOT SERVE” in huge letters. That’s just a little humiliating.

Anyway, the club is mostly low backed rolly chairs clustered around 2 stages. The pole on the 2nd stage doesn’t attach to the ceiling, it only extends about 10’ above the stage.
