I made the trip out to T-Barz for the first time last night, arriving shortly before 9pm to avoid the cover charge. It's about a half mile walk from the Surrey Central Skytrain station and on a well lit summer evening the walk was fine. It's still in Surrey, though, so it's a bit sketchy and I did get hit up for change walking back.

The club itself is mid-sized, with a mirror covering the wall behind the stage to give the illusion of more space. The place is mostly black, with dim, red flourescent lighting and red vinyl chairs. The waitresses and massage girl were also dressed in red, so I guess that's a theme. Drink service was good; I had around an inch in the bottom of my glass before I was asked if I wanted another and then the fresh ones came quickly. The beer was cold and, at $5.75 for a pint, priced strip club standard. The gent's, for anyone who cares, was clean, well lit and small. You've also got to squeeze past the pool table to get to it. The crowd was small until around 10:30, mostly looking blue collar and the average age was over 40 until then, but the DJ still played solid rap the whole time I was there.

I stayed for about two hours and saw a full rotation of the five stage dancers. Waits between sets were the usual for BC three songs, although the DJ stated that they switch to back to back entertainers after 11 pm. However, I don't know if that's just for weekends or not. The dancers were what I'd say were 6s-8s, including the feature I specifically went to see. Tianna Temptation hasn't danced in the area in a few years and used to be a solid 10.5 - she's still pretty as hell & dances well, but she obviously just had a kid and her body shows it. Only one of the stage dancers was soliciting for private shows and by the time I left there was only one house dancer added to the mix (wearing green - so much for the theme). I didn't partake because it's BC, and we're not allowed to mix beer and touching. If I want an actual lap dance I'll go to the Paramount in New Westminster, or hop in the car and drive down to the Seattle area, or wait for my semi-annual trip to Vegas.
